Kappa Sigma has promoted scholarship since its founding. Pi-Theta runs a structured academic program with study hours, grade checks, and real accountability.

The program
Scholarship is one of the four pillars, and here it is a program with teeth. The chairman schedules study sessions, connects members to academic resources, tracks standing, and reports weekly to the Grand Procurator.
The ambition is simple and stated out loud: the highest grades of any fraternity on campus.
The standard
- Every member targets a 3.0 GPA, semester and cumulative.
- A 2.5 cumulative is the floor for good standing.
- Fall below it and you are on academic suspension, off any leadership role until you are back.
Study hours, scaled to need
- 3.0 and above: one supervised study hour a week.
- Between 2.5 and 3.0: two hours a week.
- Below standard: three hours a week, plus a written improvement plan.
Grade checks and recognition
- Midterm reports are reviewed to catch trouble early and intervene.
- Members in difficulty meet with the chairman and the Executive Committee to build a plan.
- The three highest GPAs each semester earn a $50 reduction in dues.
