Communications
One voice. On the record. On brand.
The Public Relations and Communications program governs how the colony speaks (to the press, to alumni, to campus, and online) with a single standard and a clear chain of command.
- 1
- Spokesman in a crisis
- 2×
- Newsletters a year
- 100%
- Members on a signed social policy
- 24/7
- On-brand, on the record
The program
Reputation is built on purpose. Communications runs on a standard press template, a values-first social strategy, and a documented crisis protocol, all led by the Grand Scribe and Assistant Grand Scribe.
The colony promotes the good work and refuses to speculate on anything else. In a crisis, one person speaks: the Grand Master.
The standard
- Press releases before and after every major philanthropy or milestone.
- An annual review that grades last year's communications and sets new goals.
- A newsletter, Caduceus Rewind, plus fall and spring editions for alumni and the community.
Social media, values first
- Accounts promote events, milestones, brother spotlights, and recruitment.
- The Grand Master and Social Chair hold the keys. Nothing posts without them.
- Every member signs a social media policy and is accountable to it.
When it matters most
- A written crisis protocol reviewed every year.
- In a serious incident, only the Grand Master or an advisor speaks, and never off the cuff.
- Alumni advisors and national headquarters are looped in immediately.
